Thank you Coastal Cleanup Day Volunteers and Supporters!

Save the date for the 31st Annual Coastal Cleanup Day, scheduled for Saturday, Sept 19th from 9AM - 12noon at 100 countywide locations! We're still in need of site captains to help us lead this year's event. We're especially looking for volunteers to serve as captains in the following communities: El Cajon, Mira Mesa, Carmel Valley, Rancho Bernardo, Spring Valley, and Rancho San Diego. Contact Lexi Ambrogi if interested.

I Love A Clean San Diego is currently looking for Coastal Cleanup Day sponsors to support this largescale effort in San Diego County.  Event details including levels of giving and associated benefits are available in the sponsorship packet.  Contact Morgan Justice-Black to get involved as a sponsor.

Last year, over 7,600 volunteers participated in San Diego County, removing a record-breaking 104 tons of debris from local rivers, creeks, canyons, neighborhoods, beaches, and bays.  See the totals with some event photos here.   These volunteers also collected valuable data about the type and source of debris found at these 106 locations.  View the results of our findings and some trends about litter in San Diego County here.

Volunteer with ILACSD all year!
